As we have already discussed that On Page Optimization involves the activities which are performed on the website. Some of the basic activities are putting, page titles, meta description, meta keywords, anchor tags, etc. The On Page Optimization is not over here. Another very crucial activity is Content Optimization. What this term is all about? Content Optimization is defined as optimizing the content as per the guidelines of the search engines.

What exactly does this mean? It means that as we have guidelines related to the length of the page titles & meta description, in the same fashion, we do have guidelines pertaining to Content. As per search engines’ guidelines, the content needs to be unique. So, it is mandatory for you to provide original content in the webpages. You should avoid copying & pasting of the content from others’ website to your own. In such cases, your website will never get visibility & ranking. It’s always better to have unique SEO Copywriting so that the message will be clear for readers.

There is one very important aspect which you should keep in mind while optimizing content. It is “Keyword Density”. This term indicates how many times your keyword appears in the whole content. It is recommended that it should remain 2% to 4%. This means that you should use a keyword 2 to 3 times in a 100 word’s content. What happen if I use it more than the recommendation? If you use more than the recommended limit, then search engine bots will count it as spamming (maybe).

Another question pertaining to this topic is that how much content should we provide in the webpages? As such there is no limit for putting content in the website. The more content you have on the webpage, the more will be the chances to get the top spot in the ranking. As such there is no word limit. It is better if you put more content related to the topic on the web pages. The more the information, the more will be the chances of engagements. As far as bots are concerned, they like to visit pages having huge content (relevant content).
